Retrofite Blind Spot...

Featured Replies

So,

Today we started installing and wiring the radar sensors.

Since it's the facelift rear end, we installed the OEM bracket for the 2Q0 radar sensors.

At the same time, we installed the tow hitch.

The mechanical part is mostly finished; the cables are in the trunk and all that's left is to route and connect everything inside the car. Coding is also required, of course.

A few photos.

I believe the Rear Traffic Assist (not maybe by this name, but you know what I mean) uses the same radar. So try to activate also this. Cannot thank enough this aid to avoid Schumachers in the parking lots.

@Cairus- Hello, I am also interested in this topic. Can you tell me where they bought the electrical wiring and what code it has?

You can buy it on AliExpress or DIY

Are all parts you are using OEM? Or all from AliExpress?

Does the kodiaq have the warning lights on the glass or the mirror covers?

I’m thinking about adding this to my Superb but was looking at the generic kits and then thought about connecting the indicator wiring to OEM lights in the mirror caps.

Control units, brackets, etc., are all OEM parts. Here in the Kodiaq, the visual display is integrated into the mirror glass; these are aftermarket parts because genuine OEM glass costs over €300 each. The wiring harness is partly self-made and partly sourced from AliExpress. It always depends on the current price.

In my Seat, i have the mirror Cap solution(Retrofit Area View)
