Hi, Anyone ever had a problem with the reversinf sensor on the octy.

I used mine this morning and got the car on screen and worked with

the usual sounds etc, However this afternoon when I put the car into

reverse no on screen car or sound. The car appears on dash screen

for a moment when I take the gear lever out of reverse.

Anyone else had this prolem.:confused:

Sounds like a sensor has gone faulty, will eed a diagnostic check to identify which one.

Did the fault just occur once or has it stopped working altogether? Personally I find the radio and maxidot etc do strange things on the odd occasion at startup. I think it's probably related to the order in which the canbus modules initialise. If for some reason the order is upset then certain functions fail to operate correctly and you need to turn off the ignition, lock the car, unlock the car and try again. Scary really since just about everything seems to operate in some way over the canbus including lights.

Johnny, I think you might be correct. The reversing sensor started working

again last night and again this morning. typical computer, only way to fix them

is turn them off and back on again to clear the memory.

had somethiong similar with the radio the other day. Normal display on the head unit but no sound. Tried switch ingition on and off, with no effect but when I left the car parked at work and return all was ok again!!!
