Error: Oil Pressure. Stop Vehicle! (RED)

Featured Replies

Hello All, Any advice to help search and fix the listed oil pressure error. I had this start last weekend on a 3 hour drive and its appearing and beeping ever since, mainly when coming to a stop.

I have checked the engine oil level and topped it up to the correct measure, showing around 92 mm now. I have also arrange with the local garage to replace the following - oil, oil filter and oil pressure sensor.

I hooked OBDeleven today with the following fault report below.

Anyone had a similar issue? I'm not convinced its a real error as the car still drives fine with no overheating or loss of power.

Cheers, Steve

Your engine has three oil pressure switches, I believe; do you know which one was changed?

Hi Pete, Nothing changed yet as I'm booked in for next Thursday to have the following changed -oil, oil filter and oil pressure sensor.

It was the advice from the garage who seems to have a good approach to start with the cheapest first.

I was searching to provide extra details to help him but I believe he will also run the diagnostics himself first on Thur as well.

I'm not sure which pressure sensor he will replace.

There are definitely some other threads on the forum with similar issues. I think if you search for the phrase "Reduced oil pressure switch" you may come across them and find useful info from others' experiences.
