Traffic Sign recognition - Dashboard

Featured Replies

Hi,

would appreciate some advice from more experienced ŠKODA owners.
I have very recently bought a 70 reg Karoq sport line without the virtual cockpit. When looking into the TSR I saw some posts which guided me to the option where it shows on the built in NAV system, which is fine but I tend to use google maps for the traffic build up.

I have however seen other cars of same/similar year and model without the virtual cockpit and they have the TSR appearing on the dashboard. My car had the front assist and i have seen this mentioned a lot in relation to the TSR. What’s the difference that some have it on the dashboard and is it something that can be coded/retro done?

Appreciate the help. Thanks

The NAV screen can be configured to display speed limits for road you are on using map data. But this is not the same as TSR. TSR uses the QK1 camera in the rear view mirror mounting, if your Karoq has Lane Assist it should have this camera, in which case if you don’t have full TSR it may be possible to retro fit it through coding. I investigated this for my 2023 Karoq, but cars built from 2022 have this feature locked so even with coding it won’t work. If you are within reach if M1 Junction 9 contact HazzyDayz they are ace with VAG group vehicle coding.

Thank you for the reply. Ahh ok, sounds like I was possibly getting my wires crossed thinking it was TSR on the Nav. I will do some digging and see what I can find on this for retrofitting the lane assist etc to get the camera fitted. I’m based Cheshire so would be a few hours to HazzyDayz but I’ll keep it in mind. Thanks again
