Rear Suspension Creaking

Featured Replies

Over the past couple of weeks, the rear suspension has starting making a terrible creaking noise. Most noticeable when someone is getting in and out of the back seats.

I've had a look underneath, and all looks in good order with no obvious damage to the suspension.

The car is a 2023 Scala Monte Carlo with 7,500 miles. Any ideas before I take it back to the dealers?

Hello, Zeppelin. I don't know if it's the same issue, but I can tell you that my 2024 Scala Montecarlo makes strange noises from the steering, brakes, or rear suspension, I'm not sure... It makes a lot of noise when the engine is still cold, when I'm making maneuvers turning the wheel to the left or right, or when I start driving with a cold engine and stop at a traffic light. It sounds like an old squeaky spring mattress. At the dealership, they've told me not to worry, that these cars are like that, but honestly, I've never had a car with a similar issue. I don't know if it's the same problem you're having...

I've not noticed any unexpected noise from the steering or brakes. Just the rear suspension. I'll keep an eye on that, though.

I'm booked in at the service centre next week, so I will see what they say.
