Issue with rear drivers door

Featured Replies

I’m having an issue with the rear drivers door.  Sometimes it will not unlock.  Sometimes it will not lock even though the car tries once it goes above a set speed.  There is no issue shown when I check OBDeleven.  I do get a fault though shown for the rear left door showing an implausible signal for the lock unit for central locking.  Looking for some advice.

I have changed the battery to see if there was a battery issue and no difference.

New lock mechanism required.

I thought that might be the case.  Skoda has quoted over £450.  Other garages have said the part can only be purchased from Skoda.  Anyone know if £450 is good?

It depends on the level of lock fitted. Can be purchased from €80 to €200+ for the part.

½ Hour in Labour.

Fitted one to my OSR door during the summer for same symptoms. It was more or less £250 from TPS for the part.
