No, your 19 goes straight onto 1, no 14, 16 or 18.

That was the old style on the Axx code engines, I think.

If both o-rings are present, wouldn't bother replacing, probably.

Get that adaptation done, if you clear fault codes first it might work.

Apparently Skoda stopped supplying the red EGR one in 2022, so you'd have to go aftermarket or NOS for one if you did need or want to replace.

So, no gasket? [18]

If that is really the case then I just need to get the adaptation done and it should be fine.

I asked a fella on FB with a similar photo and he mentioned it would need a gasket where the orange seal is which led me down the rabbit hole of finding somewhere that supplied that part.

Now I am watching this video;

and he doesn't seem to have a gasket anywhere I was looking.

go to 5:45

Well, for now, I will disconnect the EGR. Let the mechanic know he will see me Monday to do the adaptation.

I'm also in Milton Keynes tomorrow near MK Dons so if anyone is near I can pass by!

That could only be fitted if you had pipe 16 to fit it to. So no.

The red o-ring does the job on your engine.

A case of ETKA sketches being a bit confusing whilst trying to show two different variations of something in one image.

UPDATE

25/11/24

EGR & Throttle adapted

CEL + EPC reset and not come back on even with hot engine

fuel economy issue resolved - no longer idling and siting at 1500 rpm for no reason even at lower gears

I should get the old EGR tested in case it was always working. Otherwise will sell for scrap or something. Maybe make some money back.

Update 2

70 miles have passed and on the morning drive to work EPC & CEL returned.

switched car off and on at the traffic light and the EPC light went but the CEL remains.

going to the garage to read what codes are coming up.

Like a vacuum leak?

EDIT: 12:15pm fault code - p0106

MAP sensor range/ performance problem

Update 3

We have an intermittent EPC & CEL Light

likely dodgy map sensor or air leak

I’ll clean the map sensor, then do a smoke test at the garage unless there’s a cheaper way I’m all ears.

car is driving okay, I should swap that busted coil pack out but it isn’t exactly not working. Just Gear 3 it’s choppy around 20mph, probably the car bitching about being babied on tarmac but it drives well either way.  The lights come on after I’m sitting in traffic for like 15m.

I'm reading about how someone pulled 140 off this car but who’s got money for that? I’d rather buy some good tyres and a nice full valet.

I would like to put some extra power in this or improve/tune the harmonics. I’ve heard you can put sound deadening mats in cars and I wonder how that is.

There's no way you can get to 140 without a huge suite of bespoke and expensive mods; full exhaust, intake, cams, ECU, the whole nine yards. A hundred bhp per litre is not as straightforward as others would have you believe.

You definitely have an air leak somewhere, probably the brake servo vacuum line.

I’ve read about the vacuum line in so many posts but I can’t seem to actually figure out where exactly I’m looking.

I’ve run my finger across and along all the hoses they all seem fine.

the intermittent signs are coming and going.

the car isn’t insured as of now because paying £1000 a year for my car makes no sense.

27yo 5y no claims East London.

3 years or so ago my 1.2 htp was 750 yearly.

Mechanic suggests smoke test. How much is that?

Also I polished my headlights.

man this car is gorgeous.

Why are you asking us instead of the guy who's gonna do the work?

Because I'd like to see what anyone else would have paid for it.

I was quoted £60 when I asked the other day (Saturday).

Sounds reasonable.
