I have Skoda Karoq 2022 ambition. 

I downloaded navigation files from skodas web by giving my VIN number.

 

I downloaded/ unzipped files to USB disk. Now I put my USB disk to car, but I dont know how to update maps.

 

I cant fine any update option 😞

My understanding was it updates in the background whilst the car is in use and there is no visible sign of update progress?

 

Last time I updated the navigation on my March 2023 car it took at least a day and the only indication it was successfully updated was when the Navigation database changed to a new version. 

Wow, as a computer engineer, I dont understand why the update doesnt show any notification that it is updating...

I don't think in an MY22 you can update via USB. I couldn't update via USB in my MY21. All you need to do is connect the vehicle to your home WiFi network and it should grab the updates over the air.
