Fuse Box Replaced.. now Non Starter

Featured Replies

Hello again everyone,

I’m hoping for some guidance with my 2012 Škoda Octavia 4x4 2.0 TDI Estate.

The 200-amp connector on my old fuse box (from the alternator) snapped, so I had to run the alternator on an 80-amp fuse temporarily. I replaced the fuse box today, but now I’m facing a few problems.

The car turns over but won’t start. It seems like there’s no ignition spark.

The dipped headlights are on even though the light switch is off. The rear offside indicator and the wing mirror indicator don’t work when I use the hazard lights. Additionally, I can’t operate the windows or adjust the driver’s side mirror electronically.

Could this be a problem with the new fuse box itself, or am I overlooking something?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Patrick

SOLVED: Embarrassingly... there wasn't enough fuel in the system to get compression and start. So folks, always think simple! 🤦‍♂️
