I've got an '03 Fabia at 130k and am thinking about retiring the car for a more modern/maybe larger car. I only really do small local journeys with the odd longer trip. 2 growing children. This Fabia was an impulse buy out of necessity about 8years ago and it's been pretty much faultless. As such.

 

Is rear legroom consistent across the Fabia range (is there a hatch model with more...?) and what engine is known to be super reliable and suitable for short journeys.

Super reliable would be the PD100 or the 1.4 16V, rear legroom is consistent across the range so consider an Octavia if you need a larger car.

Thank you. I need a small car due to parking/access etc where I live. So Fabia it is. Just want to make sure the engine is as good as this one has been!
