Skoda octavia IV erorr Infotainment System Restarting

Featured Replies

Skoda octavia IV first edition 2020 2.0 tdi dsg

Multimedia screen resets, traffic sign recognition error reporting, parking function not available, braking in braking maneuver not available

2 times updated software (current 1941)

Replaced the control unit

The same errors still occur

The next recommendation is to replace the complete control unit electronices - a repair of €5,000

Has anyone had a similar problem and managed to solve it?

Hard to say unless we know what units are you talking about. Infotainment unit itself cost 1500. For 5000 you could swap both infotainment and its screen (and even then it seems too pricey). However, the problem may lay somewhere else. As far as my experience was and many others were reporting here, new infotainment unit together with SW 1941 or above should have been fixed that already, so need further investigation what goes wrong with your car. I would consider trying another workshop before making decision to spend so much money.
