DRL not working

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've had my citigo a while now and never really took much notice of it but realised they are not on. I've checked online and see people have suggested check the fuses but they appear to be there. This is my fuse box in the pic. Do the fuses look okay. Thanks in advance

The fuses look splendid, but you can't tell if any have blown without pulling them out and looking. Someone here will be able to give you a picture of the fuse layout for a 2014 car (they vary by year and model), or tell you which numbered fuses are for DRLs..... The fusebox lid usually has the legend for layout.

My bet is that 2 fuses would be involved for both DRLs, and if so, it seems a coincidence that both would blow. Are you sure the actual DRL bulbs have not failed (albeit a coincidence again)?

Thanks for the reply. My citigo is a 2014. The side lights work so I'm assuming they use the same bulbs. I will have a look at the fuses in the morning to see if they are blown.

If they do they'll be dual filament bulbs, say 5/21W.

Hello mate,

After looking at the bulbs they were the problem. Got a new set and it's all sorted now. Thanks again for your help.

For those in the future with a similar issue, I would like to note down my experience.

When I had a similar issue, I looked at the fuse, and it seemed absolutely fine. I then checked the sidelights - they worked too. Why shouldn't the DRLs work?

Turns out that the bulbs are, in fact, dual-filament. If you're unsure, it might be worth the trip to get yourself a pair of the bulbs - they're really easy to replace.
