Hi all.. the infotainment in my 2012 Octavia Estate 2.0 TDI is pretty noisy, making a kinda static sounding noise. FYI the ping wasn't from the bolero, it was from the car. The photo isn't my car, but it looks the same.

 

It's making this noise even turned off, and it's coming from the unit directly not the speakers.

 

The car was an ex-ambulance car and it looks to have previously had a rear camera connected, perhaps other things too.

 

Assuming it's a loose connection, CD stuck or bad ground, just wondering for your opinions.

Try ejecting all the CDs to see if the noise goes, just to eliminate a mechanical problem first.
