1.6 tdi dgt - limp mode after remap

Featured Replies

Hey. I was looking for a 2.0 for a while but these are super rare in Ireland so found this 1.6 in a very good price and bought it with intention of mapping.

Did a map 115bhp-->145bhp. Also fella asked if I want to delete egr, dpf and add blue as this is one job and won't charge me extra.. I agreed. Told me egr has to be unplugged (no option to blank it on these engine I was told) and dpf has to be gutted.

Done everything. Car was driving like a dream for approx. 3k km and problems started.

Going into limp mode now every time turbo reach 2.2bar and gives p099 underboost error. Ignition off and back on resets it and it's fine until I reach 2.2 again.

Local mechanic said turbo is faulty. Got it replaced today but no joy! Same thing again.

Any ideas?

I have obd eleven just not sure what to look for. Please help!

Go back to the mapper and explain the situation.  Could be something they missed or an issue created by removing so many functions.  This is entirely your choice but it's generally not recommended on here to remove the DPF due to it being an MOT fail.  Rules in Ireland could be different.

I already did that. Asked him to put original map in to see is there any difference. The same thing is happening only at the lower boost, but like a clockwork at the same value

Interesting. What you mean by reaching 2,2 bar? Is that the value ecu is asking (specified) or what is delivered (actual)? Have you checked with a diagnostic tool if the actual value follows the specified value (is there really a underboost problem)?
