cylinder misfires and map sensor issues

Featured Replies

I'm having a tough time understanding what is actually wrong with my tsi engine.

It all started with cylinder misfires, problem jumping from one cylinder to another, all of thel having misfires. Changed new plugs and coils, no help from those. Had the chain replaced and timing fixed. No help. Still jerking.

Gives random fault for map sensor.

Got a new one, didn't even start with it, untill next day to my surprise the car ran like nothing was wrong. Now giving permanent fault for MAP. Went on to replace the sensor to a different one (as this one turned out to unmatch the og one). Now with the new and correct sensor the jerking is back. Happens at 2000-3000 rpm.

Runs smoothly with full throttle and idling.

Any ideas what could be causing this issue?

Car in question is Skoda Fabia 2

1.4 tsi vrs

2012 model

Engine CAVE

Changed spark plugs with iridium tip, coil leads AND coil? Can you trace the wiring for the air pressure sensor and confirm it's all in 1 piece? Does moving it about make the fault go away?
