That time of year again - Alarm constantly going off at random times

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Well, it's turned cold and the very first day the temperature dropped the alarm on my 2017 Suberb estate 190 diesel has started randomly going off again. Pretty much once in each half hour period. Sometimes two or three times.  It did the same last year, and the year before and I've still not gotten to the bottom of it and Skoda think it's a made up issue.

I'm dreading the next months as it wakes my neighbours, and me regularly.  Disabling the sounder is an option but not great for the old insurance policy and the lights still flash throughout the night drawing attention to it.

Hoping that someone else has had this and cured it.

Cheers all.

If you are not replacing the siren and battery or the battery in the siren then disable it.

If some thieves steal your car are they going to grass you up for the alarm not working?

It's what I've had to do in the past but,  A/ it's not a fix, and B/ I'd prefer to hear some thieves trying to steal my car so I can go out and have a word.
