Fabia 2012 1.4 TSI Automatic gearbox

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I am looking to buy a Skoda Fabia and wanted to ask opinions regarding automatic gearbox. Model I am looking for would be 1.4 TSI vRS S2000 DSG. I have very divergent reviews regarding this, but I have tried the model and I really like it. No friend or family ever had a skoda fabia so I have no idea about common problems. Any help would be awesome!!

Welcome.

They can be great, they can be a nightmare.

?

How many previous keepers?

First is it actually a S2000, a model that came with a White roof and wheels and decals and is Green Metallic.  Stickers still on or removed!

Or just a vRS that the seller listed as a S2000?

Is it a CAVE engine car not a CTHE?

S2000 were the earlier engine cars.

The issue to check are many, all covered in the Fabia mk2 section. Pinned threads and many over the past 14 years.

?

Is it the original engine still fitted as it left the factory?

The DQ200 DSG can be a concern.   In the spare tyre well is there a Service Campaign Sticker showing '34F7' and a date and dealer stamp?

brilliant many thanks for all of this! really appreciated. I can see this model have many problems so I might avoid it. Seller dont have most of the info you mentioned..

Do you have any suggestions for any model of Fabia which are known to be good with automatic gearbox?

Pretty much any VW group Petrol car with 150 ps or less.

DSG,s are Automated manuals.

Maybe a SEAT Ibiza 1.4 TSI 150ps DSG if you can find one, or Polo 125 or 150 PS DSG.

Seat Arona 1.0 TSI DSG.

Audi A1 122ps S-tronic that is a (DSG)

Mk2 Fabia 1.2 TSI 2013 on, Mk3 1.2 or 1.0 TSI.

Rapid, Scala, Kamiq.

113 or 115 ps DSG,s.
