I have a 2015 Yeti Outdoor Elegance TDI CR DSG with 1968cc engine.

155000 on clock.

Owned it from nearly new.

Super car which I want to keep.

Problem :

Start engine in morning after overnight stand on flat level surface. Pronounced rattle from engine lasting about 2 minutes then dies away and does not return until next cold start.

No noticeable impact on any performance aspect.

Anyone know what this could be??

Does the low oil pressure light stay on when you start?

Hello Urrell.

NO lights remain on at engine start.

Oil level is correct.

A long shot, but rattles are sometimes traceable to the air conditioning pulley and pump.  Maybe you could use some flexible hose with one end held to your ear and the other moved around to pinpoint the noise source ?

Many tks Austin.

I'll try that tomorrow in the daylight.

It certainly sounds like that kind of noise.
