Replacement headlight bulbs

Featured Replies

Okay, strange as it may seem, I've had my Superb for over 2 years now and last week was the first time I have been out in the dark. I was shocked how poor the light quality was, especially dipped beam. I was on a B road on dip and never went above 20mph. So I'm thinking of changing the bulbs, especially the dipped (LowBeam) bulb. I've had a look through the forum but can't find much about these, plenty about fogs, indicators, reversing and interiors. I looked on various sites and found AutobulbsDirect.co.uk, and when I entered my VRN they showed appropriate bulbs. If I am going to replace I am getting the best I can afford and the ones I chose were: Low beam - D3S Osram nightbreaker Laser Xenarc +220% @ £199.20 a pair. For main beam - H7 Osram nightbreaker 220% 12v 55w @ £47.50. I was surprised that low beam bulbs were so expensive. So are these bulbs any good, has anyone fitted them, was it easy and were there any problems. TIA.

Those D3S are plasma discharge units, so the price is actually pretty typical.

There is a 25% discount at the moment for Black Friday and free postage so makes a difference.
