Sounds like a lot of positive news! My dealer is back after their Christmas break tomorrow so hoping for an update. Still got to sell my current car though so could do with a bit of notice!

Mine should be being built this week.How do you plan on selling your car as I'll be in the same situation in a month or 2's time?

I was going to try a private ad but the more I think about it the more I'm thinking of selling to one of the "we b___a___car"  type places.

I'm going to use motorway I think, heard good reviews from a few people so hopefully it's easy enough 🤞

I had a recent good experience selling via motorway. However you sell, definitely call Skoda finance to get the settlement statement. You can request this via the online portal thing but it takes a few weeks, where calling them you'll have it your inbox in minutes 

Forgot to add. If selling via motorway, don't bother taking any good pictures beforehand, as you have to take them using their platform (probably to stop you editing photos). Mine was on sale on a Sunday, sold straight away for a good price, then guy collected it with no knocking down of price paid a few days later.

That's brill, appreciate the advice. I think I'm getting my car next wednesday so will get it for sale early next week after a good clean! Hoping it sells pretty quickly as I ideally want rid before the new one lands.

Hi everyone, I’m just watching the review on the new vRS by ‘Tim Rodie Drives Stuff’ on YouTube and I’m really so bloody excited now! The car is due to arrive sometime tomorrow and I can’t wait!

I’m like a child in a sweetshop, albeit a soon to be* 58 year old child! *(Friday to be exact!)

I can understand your excitement @BazGee! I am also fully invested in the hype train, with delivery coming next Tuesday. Same day as having boiler replaced and meant to be working from home all-day...might be one of those days that the internet goes down or laptop might break hey, ha.

I've gone the opposite way, race blue to grey. Looking forward to a change but do love the race blue colour!

Good high performance summer tyre, both in dry and normal temperature rain.

 

But apparently not that good in cold rain, sleet, frost etc because they are seasonal, and not all year tyres.

nEw cAr DaY! It's a beaut, only managed to take it for a 13 mile drive. It's filthy already, but that's the time of year (and maybe having brightly coloured car). It did take me a few minutes or sort my feet out, and I did accidentally use my left foot for breaking twice when taking it off my driveway and down the road. Mine has Bridgestone potenzas again 🤷‍♂️

Interesting on the tyres seems to be Bridgestone's or Goodyear's then.

Congratulations! Same here re the weather, I’ve only done 30 miles since last Thursday - too ****ty to be out, plus we’re off to France at the weekend and that will put 1500 miles straight on the clock by the time we get back 😩

Paintwork feels like it doesn't have anything on it to protect it, so will defo be detailing it at weekend. Just took youngest out in it, and although respectful of the first 1000 miles gave it a little kickdown; it makes noises! Haha, still smiling now.

1500 mile run is defo enough of a drive to get used to it and for it to sort itself out! Tiny bit jealous, hope you guys have a good time

Mine came with Goodyear F1’s too. Haven’t checked the tyre pressures against the recommended ones, but will do so today.
