Electric Tailgate button not working - emits five chirrups

The "close" button on my electric tailgate no longer closes the boot and I hear five "beeps" every time I press the button. I have to force-close the tailgate manually which is a quite tough as it is very stiff. My Karoq Edition is 6 years old. Any fix please? Video attached. Thanks.

Common problem is wires breaking, have a look at this thread
