New to me car purchase 

 

i’m getting a noise from the part in the picture (rhs of engine) what part is it? 

 

seems to follow the accelerator pedel in sound if that makes sense until the roar of the beast drowns any sound out 

 

also its just started idling at 1000rpm and not dropping back to 750-800

 

is this correlated?

 

Its thrown a few glow light / engine management lights that seem to cycle off after a few starts 

 

ive had the codes cleared earlier today help with identifying the issue 

 

just wondering if anyone has had the same issue?

 

apart from that the car seems to drive fine

fitted new oem and resolved issues 

 

however this was not the cause of the glow light flashing or EML 

(P0101) 

 

hopefully this problem is only a new maf had enough fixing things already lol
