Elroq: Who else has ordered?

Featured Replies

Anyone else ordered the new Elroq? Ordered the edition 85  with Maxx pack in Moon White on 9th December.

Lead time given as 17 weeks .Hoping no delays. Demo models  should arrive February so dealers will be busy with test drives.

Love the styling inside and out. Counting down the weeks.

Was there any discount on the RRP?

Almost ordered. Wanted 85 Edition, Suite, 20" wheels and Maxx. Had an appointment with the sales guy at the local retailer, but he didn't turn up as his wife had a baby the night before so can forgive him for that.

Decided then to wait until they're in the showroom as I fancied Timiano Green but wanted to be sure before I ordered.

Finally plucked up courage to order. 85 Edition, Velvet Red Metallic with Maxx pack. Dealer was hopefull we could get it before 1st April to avoid the Expensive Vehicle Supplement for year 2 - 6, although no guarantee.

Nice. Red looks well. Any date given for dealer  demo model arrival?

No firm lead time given, other than the dealer said it should be ok before 1st April. That said, on the order the hand over estimate  is 20th April which isn't ideal. My understanding is that the dealers are on a jolly down to Milton Keynes at the beginning of Feb, before cars arrive in the showrooms. Everything seems a bit fuzzy at the moment and i suspect even the dealers don't know for sure whats happening. I'll be calling in at the dealer next Friday to see if I can get any updates.

Any discount will be different from dealer to dealer or not applicable if a lease. The only discounts i have seen so far have been tied into taking dealers finance which i am not sure how legal that is ...although i know some people  sometimes suggest cancelling  such deals within cooling off period to keep the discount and use other means for purchase...maybe someone else can clarify that aspect.

It'd be interesting to see how many have been sold in the UK. I see that Skoda UK are still advertising the million mile giveaway for the first 475 orders, so I guess, less than 475. We got chance to spin after we ordered ous and got 2000 miles which I think is actuelly a £500 charge pass. As far as spinning to win is concerned, there's 5 prizes for 10,000 miles, 5 for 4000 miles and 465 for 2000 miles, so the odds seem slightly tilted towards 2000 miles 😔

Currently with PCP there's 0% finance over 3 years  with £3500 deposit contribution from Skoda Finance.  We've bought a couple of cars in the past where we took advantage of the deposit contribution and then paid the loan off, interest free before the first payment was due, and we were certainly allowed to keep the deposit contribution. That was a few years back, so not sure whats allowed these days.

Discount seems to be a dirty word these days. Our contract is directly with Skoda UK despite us ordering through a main dealer. I think the only way to any discount is on your trade in, if you have one, or by trying to scrounge some accessories. We went onto CarWow and the best offer we got was a discount of £3700, but that included £3500 deposit contribution from Skoda.

The buying process for Škoda electric vehicles has changed

Customers will now buy our electric vehicles direct from Škoda UK giving them confidence that the price they see on the website is the same as the invoice price they will be charged in their chosen Retailer, wherever they are in the UK (subject to any price adjustments we make, which may take some time to be displayed correctly on our website and other materials).

Although customers will now buy their vehicle direct from Škoda UK, the Retailer will still be there to help customers with specialist product knowledge and advice helping them to buy the right car for them and their lifestyle. And of course, the Retailer will be on hand to deliver the same expert servicing and maintenance they do today.

I ordered end of December.  Told April.  Now have build date in February, so April still estimated for delivery.
At the time of ordering the PCP deal wasn’t 0%, but also the dealer wasn’t able to get the finance sorted because the model didn’t exist at the time.  So now I see the PCP deal is better, can anyone who’s ordered tell me if you’ve got finance deal documents yet?
Also the free miles offer …. I haven’t had an email from Skoda about that - is this something the dealer has to sort too?

thx for help

We made an appointment with our dealer on 21st December to go into the showroom on 27th Decemer to order our Elroq. Things didn't quite pan out like that and we finally ordered on the 7th January. The point though, is that the 0% PCP Deal with £3500 deposit contribution was showing on-line prior to the 21st December or we wouldn't have moved when we did. We've had no documentation from Skoda Finance to date, but I'm sure if there was an issue, they'd have told us.

We did have contract information from Skoda UK confirming the order on 10th January and the same day, again from Skoda UK, an invitation to spin the wheel and win free miles, with a confirmation on 11th January, that we had wone 2000 miles.

Hope that helps

Interesting. What model variant and colour did you go for? Did the dealer advise you of the build date? Not heard anything but hoping i have build date  soon..i think they started production a couple of days ago.. Output is 600  a day but they have 20000 pre-orders apparently.

I went with Graphite Grey, did not go with any extras as wanted to keep under the 40k, dealer said this morning that it should arrive late March, so a bit risky if I added the extras

I am surprised that it has been built to be honest

Just spoke to my dealer they confirmed my vehicle is currently in status 20, which a quick google suggests it is within the production phase.

Race blue!

Does anyone else feel apprehensive, I currently drive an IX3 which is a lovely car, but being a company car and retiring in Feb it has to go, prices on the IX3 used have really dropped and a 24 reg low mileage I have seen for 39k, but with 7k deposit and 7.9% interest works out so much more than the Elroq, but never having driven a Skoda you start to wonder if decision has been made on 0% finance and £3500 deposit contribution, but think I have seen all the reviews and all are positive, but difficult to gauge how big the car will be in the flesh, I think the height is about 2" lower than the IX3, but I am hoping access is similar for an old codger!!

The Skoda Elroq has a ground clearance of 186 millimeters (7.32 inches) so should be fine hopefully.  Ask your local dealer to put your name down for a test drive  on the  Elroq demo when it lands..and you can check it all out then although i like to think people who ordered it would be given priority for the test drives.
