Just joined this forum - have to say looks really good with lots of help and advice, and fun on offer.

Reason I'm here - my partner is considering a Fabia purchase - so was looking up lots of info.

The first three cars I had were all white Skoda Rapids, but I guess not that many people on here remember them, particularly since when the iron curtain fell they all seemed to disappear back to Czechoslovakia overnight!

I'm on Pistonheads too with the same name.

Hi Fran, I only remember _white_ Rapids cos John Haugland used to (class) win the RAC in one every year, but I remember the model.

When i had them I became quite adept at changing head gaskets, but the last one I had was tuned and most useful for fulfilling the 'Surprising Skoda' marketing line that was in use back then.

We've been really impressed by the cars on offer at our local dealership, and so far they've been really good too.
