Engine flush ?

Featured Replies

Would it be advised to run an engine flush through my engine every 30k ? Its a 2023 2.0 Diesel 7DSG Superb that is used mainly motorway driving but in constant use .

I was told these late engines are prone to 'clogging up " and would recommend a flush however some people dont advice of using flushes due to potential chemicals that could do more harm for your engine ?

No. Not IMO.

There is nice oil in but getting replaced, so warm oil removed is sufficient.

Much better doing an Italian tune up now and again.

Engine flush is good for countries which crap fuel and oil or the more politically correct way “countries with high dust” I believe the term is.

Depending on your annual mileage you could always opt for bi annual oil change, instead of once every 12-24 months

Thats how many miles im doing .

UK based , use decent fuel and use TPS branded oil ( quantas 0w-30)

No, we never advise it. Occasionally we will get something that we use a flush on (hell peugoet 1.2 .....)  all you need to do is use good quality oil, ignore long life and stick to 10k services.

Jeez yeah that’ll do if not excessive but cheap enough
