ECU Swap / Immobiliser programming - Who can do it?

Featured Replies

Hi. My wife's 65 plate Fabia mk3 1.4 TDI has had a few problems which I've been fortunate to find help here, so thanks all for your help so far.

Latest one is....

We believe there is an issue with one of the 12v power supplies in the ECU. Using VCDS there is a 12v supply that is showing around 3.5v and it is displaying an EML on the dash (I have scanned and it is indeed it is a terminal voltage code)

I have sourced an ECU from a breaker (from a donor 1.4 TDI mk3), upon installing this new ECU, this specific power supply is happily at 12v on the new ECU. However, obvisouly the car won't start as the immobiliser (and anything else I can't think of) are not correctly programmed.

I've reached out to a few "tuning" businesses and independent garages, but so far no one could clone the old ECU into the donor one. Would anyone know who could tackle this? I am in Oxfordshire.

Thank you

Yeah I was trying to avoid having to sell a kidney...

I would try HazzyDayz in Markyate, J9 of the M1. Realise it’s a bit of a journey from Oxfordshire, but they may be able to help.
