Hello. I am wondering if there is any way for me to make use of the buttons on the radio while using my phone for music via AUX. Using the skip buttons to skip a song instead of being able to do that exclusively from my phone, for instance. Pressing any of them does nothing for now. Trim is Elegance if that matters.

There is no way you'd be able to do this, as the aux in is simply an analogue audio connection only. It doesn't support any kind of communication to a phone. It doesn't know what's connected to the other end of the cable.
