Difficulty finding the right drivers seat position

Featured Replies

Hi

Bought a 2 year old Octavia SEL 2 weeks ago but finding it really difficult to find a comfortable seat position that doesn’t cause pains in my legs, arms or

both.  Wondered if anyone has found the same problem and can share any tips or advice.  The seats are manually adjusted, not electrically operated.

With any new car it takes a few readjustments to find the perfect position. The infinite combinations of rake, lumbar, distance and height settings, plus steering wheel height and reach means a lot of fiddling. Manually adjusted seats generally don't have the same micro-adjusting scope as powered seats, but persist with it and you'll get there. Octavia's seats are among the best of any car I've had.

Have you tried raising / lowering the seat height? Also, use the rake and reach steering wheel to your advantage

Have tried all sorts of adjustments to seat height, rake, lumbar and steering wheel position.  Feeling a bit desperate now as 10 days in and and the more I’m driving it the worse the burning sensation in my arms and legs is becoming.  Have driven many cars over the years and never have any trouble, usually a quick seat adjustment is all I need!
