Superb Mk2 Climatronic fault in windscreen mode

Featured Replies

Hello Briskoda Family!

Has somebody any idea what can be the solution for the following problem?

When I set the climatronic to blow the windscreen, its not working. The ventilator are working, but the air does not come out at the bottom of the windscreen, only from the side passenger and driver blowers.

I tried it in auto mode and manual mode too.

I tried to recalibrate the flaps, but it not solved the problem.

It was -1,5 celsius outside and the windscreen was icy.

Thank you in advance for your support.

I suspect one of the flap valves is stuck.  You need to get a scan with VCDS or similar to get the fault codes which will identify exactly where the fault lies.  I had a similar problem with intermittent sticking of the flap valve that controls driver's site temperature which would stick at full heat and try to cook me!  The valves aren't stupidly expensive but a pig to access to change.  Workshop manual suggested dashboard out! But fortunately the indy who looks after my car is happy working upside down lay on front seat and was able the change it with  dash in place by trimming a few bits of plastic under the dash to slide the valve in and out
