minor facelift

Featured Replies

Can the bigger front foglights be swapped out for the slimmer facelift versions esily, was thinking it would be new lower grilles and lights but thought  would ask here. Currently a 2017 Sportline and as the fog lenses are stone damaged may be an opportunity.

My guess on these things is new grills, new bumper for the grills, new headlights to fit the new bumper, new front ends to mount the new bumper. Then bonnet, front wings, loom, possibly rear windscreen and carpets.

The above guess is very much into the topic, looking at both models I sense a massive expense to update so many things, to make a pre-FL become a FL.

I had wrote a bunch of rubbish about being able only to update bumper grill and fogs, but I got a feeling and went to check online and travs  is spot on, also headlights are different while very similar

Admittedly, sarcasm got the better of me for the rear windscreen and carpets. But the subtle front-end differences I think are quite material in reality

@passatman62 - u r better off replacing the entire foglight unit on ur pre-facelift Superb.

they r easily removed with just two screws holding them in.

u can get brand new replacements from Kopacek.

as above, the facelift frontend is very different to the pre-facelift.

whilst a few people have converted their front ends, with companies that specialise in such conversions, it is a big big job.  u'll also end up having to change BCM and Gateway modules, plus other bits n pieces.

not worth the hassle.
