Can anyone offer advice on this or had a similar problem?

 

I have recently bought my car (details in profile) and it has a rattle in the dash around the infotainment screen area.  It happens when a course road surface sends a slight vibration through the car and also sometimes on B road type uneven road with a rough surface.  The screen itself is firmly fixed but pushing on the trim behind it seems to give a temporary fix but the noise soon comes back.  I'm not sure how to lift the trim behind the screen to investigate - has anyone done this?

 

I could of course just take it back to the dealer to fix, but I would prefer to sort it myself if I can.

Try the plastic trim below the center air vents, above the mobile charging pad area. It can creak when touched.
