2013 dsg skoda octavia

Featured Replies

Hi there I've noticed the very odd time if I turn too quick into a corner i totally loose all acceleration literally nothing on the pedal until I put the car into neutral the back into drive the car has  full service history and timing/waterpump has been done does anyone else have this issue is it a skoda problem or is there some underlying fault with the dsg thanks.

Welcome.

It could be the dsg, but you need to say what dsg you have.

What engine has the car and does it have a 7 Speed Dry Clutch DSG, a DQ200   (is it a 1.6 TDI.)

or a 6 speed wet clutch DSG, a DQ250.

2.0 TDI or TSI.

The DQ200 has no servicing regime but a 2013 should maybe have had Service Campaign '34H5' sometime after 2017.

A DQ250 needs serviced every 40,000 miles or sooner.

Hi my bad it is a 7 speed dq200 and the engine is a 1.6 TDI

Service campaign '34h5' was a software update as a there was a Pressure / Heat issue and cracks, failures and leaks.

Even now it can be a failure with the accumulator and a oil leak, or it might just be an issue with the MCU.

You need to get the DSG checked out by someone that know DQ200,s.

Look in the Spare Tyre well and see if there is a sticker showing the Service Campaign was done.

It might not show here even if not done.

The thing is, you are where you are now and need to find out what is wrong.

Can you get it scanned for codes?
