Wanted - Polar wheel

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I purchased a Scout about 6 months ago and am well pleased with it. It doesn't have a spare wheel though. which makes me nervous, especially with the cavernous pot holes we have on our lanes. Am I right in thinking the 17" Polar rim was unique to the Scout and has anyone got any ideas where I can get one, along with the foam liner, jack, etc.? I've had an eye on fleabay and the like but have had no luck sourcing one.

Many thanks,

Dave.

Your Skoda dealer can provide a full size spare (or a 205/55 R16 will fit just fine on steel or alloy) and you can get all the parts needed such as the foam inserts from your dealer/stealer.

The Skoda Shop in Lincoln will also have the parts needed, for example: https://www.theskodashop.co.uk/products/copy-of-spare-wheel-kit-octavia-iii-vrs

You can also find the spare parts needed from breakers and well as third party companies.

Yeah for spare wheel I would just go with a steel one. It is not like you gonna drive with it for long and perhaps never. Reasonable / normal scout tires are quite high profile and not the first ones to surrender due to potholes.
