Boot ‘convenience’ opening not working

Had a towbar fitted on Monday and now waving my foot under the car doesn’t open the boot. It was working before the towbar was fitted and now it isn’t. The towbar frame replaces a large crash beam (which is now in my back garden) and I’m wondering if the towbar frame is either obstructing the sensor or the sensor has been moved and not refitted correctly. 
Does anybody know what the sensor looks like and where it should be?  Anybody got any pictures of it?
