2 Child Seats and 1 booster seat - Recommendations

Featured Replies

Howdy, currently in a Skoda Fabia 2018 Colour Edish with one child seat and one booster seat - current day outings could be described as compact and bijou and with another on the way it’s time to spend some money… looking for comments on Octavia , Superb or Kodiaq on squeezing this lot in a car. I’m aware of the MPVs but i like a Skoda and wife knows where the controls are on these. It will have been asked before I know it but couldn’t find it in the topics.
thanks in advance.

Lots of local taxi drivers have Superbs, licensed for 4 adult passengers.

Should add I’d be more interested in three across the back row

Same here.

@LucindaKingsbury Sort of concluded that a MPV for three across row is possibly the easiest solution. Otherwise it’s one on the back row of a 7-seater, or have ISOFIX on front passenger seat.. airbag off seat and far back as possible (least favourite option).

Hope that helps

My Son and his Wife have gone a slightly different route. They have four kids and find a VW Touran suits them nicely with a third row of seats. Having had an Octavia estate, I'd think three abreast in the back would be doubtful. I've also had a MK1 Superb and three adults in the back was fairly easy - there's a very notable size difference in the back between the two.

Would prefer a superb myself, just not sure if the two baby seats and booster will fit across the back row. No one has been able to confirm this. I know an MPV will work, but they are ugly imo 😀

Get yer 3 seats and the 3 kids concerned and get down to your local showroom and give a few a try would be my 2p. Minor carnage may ensue but at least you'd have a clearer idea with your own seats and urchins in real world conditions. DO make sure to have someone film it and post on here 😁

Hey! With three kids in seats, space and practicality are key — and you're spot-on looking at the Octavia, Superb, and Kodiaq. Between them, the Kodiaq offers the best flexibility and width for comfortably fitting 2 child seats and a booster across the back. The Superb has fantastic legroom and boot space, but the Octavia might feel a bit tight across the rear bench for three seats. If you’re keen to stay in the Skoda family, the Kodiaq is likely your best bet for daily comfort and long-term practicality. Want to know more?
