Skoda Warranty

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

How long does the skoda Warranty last ? I've a 2023 Fabia Monte carlo, registered March 23. Conflicting info on the Web,

Cheers

JR

Manufacturers warranty in the UK 3 years from first registered. That will be the same as when the first MOT is due. So warranty to March 2026. Exclusions in T&C,s on the after first 6 months / 6,000 miles. You can read the Warranty on a Skoda UK website.

?

What or where are you finding conflicting information?

Reading and understanding the Warranty and what is and what is not covered is quite important.

That's not technically correct. Standard warranty in the UK is 2 years (unlimited mileage) - the 3rd year only applies to cars that have done up to or less than 60k (whichever comes first).

I cover a few miles in mine so the day it was two years old it had something like 75k on it so that's when the warranty finished, and while you can get an extended warranty it finishes at 100k, so in cases like myself that extra 25k of extended warranty to get to 100k (or an extra 8 months at my mileage) works out quite expensive on a monthly basis so I don't bother with it and take my chances that nothing will go wrong.

Thanks. Lets read the Warranty after the OP looks at it on the Site, Then we can get to Technicalities.

Exclusions, over 60,000 miles etc.

& Fundamental Design, Manufacturing, Material Faults. Software / Hardware, Exclusions & Inclusions.

Paint and Corrosion. Holed panels etc.

Thanks , dealership had also said 2 years.

Had enough of this fabia Monte Carlo 1.0, currently doing 45 mpg , steering feels dodgy, 1st gear jolty , supposed to be a safe car to drive but doesent feel it.

@johnrogers Who at the Dealership, the Service Desk Staff? Get them to write that down then, and sign it.

Is your car under 60,000 miles and so 3 years?

Is it serviced to the Manufacturers Guidelines, Schedule, Specification, Advice?

Has it had any relevant Software Updates or Recall Actions?

Good morning John, is this Fabia a TSI? DSG or manual?

The OP,s threads / posts on the car are about a manual.

Whoever answers the phone said. I've done 10000 miles , oil and filter changed elsewhere to dealership. Had emails this week for brake fluid change , air con check .

You maybe need to deal with another Authorised Repairer and get the Master Tech and Dealer Principal made aware of the issues you have.

Also contact the place where the staff told you a 2 year warranty only. Dealer Principle there needs to discuss training of management and various departments.
