After i cleared the fault codes from the above scan after ODIS

All the faults cleared including ABS apart from steering assist then when I’ve gone to try set steering angle again in -44 using VCDS it immediately brought the dash lights back on

Re-flash steering module?

Not sure if i need a garage who specialise in fixing accident damaged vehicles what with the none original ECM cluster etc

If anyone in blighty can fix this please do get in contact, I can pay a modest amount of shekels

Communications errors so for those you need to check and diagnosis wires, connections, connectors and modules for power and communication signals, as in the link to the professional diagnostics chap's videos, scan tool, scope, multimeter and and load bulb as required.

If B200500 is correct does it really effect a 2014 car, I've no idea but if it does, from a quick read, you might be back to ODIS or other. If it wasn't there before it might be something to do with the ODIS but I've no idea about the delay in presenting, computers and computer programming are a mystery to me other than all the errors and omissions, "glitches", patches and updates than solve one thing and create two more - and of course that computers are very dumb and need full, specific, correct instructions to operate at all.

Got a little further with this after picking up OBDeleven pro

I’m thinking this could be the problem

How can this corrupt from changing the complete tie rods???? possibly the garage stole & replaced the steering rack with another, with the way my life seems to be going the pan it wouldn’t surprise me haha feels like an episode of the truman show

Can ODIS automatically rectify this online or do i have scroll the web & find the correct firmware flash file from erwin then give to the mechanic with odis

Is there anyone in UK who fixes this type of problem regularly? I can’t seem to find any garages local to me apart from the dealers

I’m guessing the last garage who used ODIS wasn’t savvy enough to fix this issue thats why the steering was nearly 100% fixed apart from no end stops & veered to left slightly on accelerating

Don't think, check, cross reference, diagnosis.

Is the data at the point of reading, if so is correct for use, is it that it just presents this way caused by transmission or receiving, is the scan tool correct in its report.

I think you need to consult a specialist, sports/track or crash repair perhaps.

As to what/who caused this is another matter, perhaps too many fingers in the pie, but it doesn't alter the situation the car is in at the moment. Computer systems in a way are very robust but also very fragile, programming needs to be extremely precise and any interactions with the systems done under the best of conditions possible, the tools used need to be fully appropriate and in good working condition and order and used as designed.

Then there's the wires and connections, the modules and sensor, their installation . . . so many possible points for things to go wrong.

A good repairer for this will just deal with what's presented - confirm what is wrong then see what the cause(s) for it are and how it might be repaired, checking and cross referencing to diagnosis for themselves, perhaps with some regard to reported history.

There might be simple solution(s) to this but possibly it requires someone with the right, knowledge, training, experience and attitude and the correct tools to find them in an orderly manner. You have computers, electrics and mechanical, any or all could be contributing to your issue(s), the computer side seems to have the priority, at least at the the moment.

I suggest you research and find someone or somewhere that knows what they're doing to at least do a proper report / initial diagnosis. Good luck.

That’s the problem I’m struggling to find a decent repair mechanic who is proficient in Odis & this problem

That's why I suggested somewhere that does crash repairs, though most of those have plenty of insurance work, or a place that specialises in sports or modified vehicles, or a proper diagnostic auto-electrician.

No doubt there are mechanics that could do this work but a mechanic wouldn't be my first thought, particular as finding a good quality one is so difficult and then they're stacked with work already.
