Copy contacts from one PC to another

Featured Replies

Our PC's run Outlook 2003 with MS exchange.

A colleague has recently had a new PC and wants to copy his contacts from the old one to the new one.

How do we do this ?

normally you have to find the .pst files do a search from within windows chose to find hidden files as they are hidden in the documents and settings folder

when you find them save them to a disc or data stick then find the same folder on the new computer save them in to there. To find the folder you will have to go to c drive select tools -folder options- view-show hidden files if your stuck post and ill help you

what i said should work for contacts email and meetings so i suppose it is what you need

yup thats the way to do it

shouldn't all that stuff be stored centrally

what's to stop you configuring a second email account on your PC with your work mates details and reading his email and sending email "from" him...:o

Isn't the pst file the POST file rather than the contacts tho?
