Change USB-A to USB-C because CarPlay keeps dropping

Featured Replies

Hello,

I’m having problems with CarPlay, the connection keeps dropping when making calls and if I’m using navigation I have to end the call to reconnect to CarPlay. Tried different cables but still the same problem

So I’ve decided to swap the two USB-A ports with USB-C to use the original cable from Apple.

My car is an Kodiaq 2018 with Amundsen updated to the latest firmware.

I have bought the USB-C ports(3G5035726).

I’ve seen that they(USB-C) have an extra pin then the USB-A connector.

Changed the ports and it seems to work for now, but should I change to the cable with the extra pin for USB-C?

Does anyone one knows the number from USB-C cables?

Is there any piece that I should change, any other adapter?
