Android Auto Enable

Featured Replies

Anyone know how to enable android auto ? I've got smart link activation but only shows mirror link on the screen it's missing android and the iPhone options

You need to tell us what MIB version you have. Boot up the MIB / Infotainment system, press and HOLD MENU and then go to software versions. Take a photograph and post it on here.

I've uploaded the sd file to install in but I'm missing android and apple on the option screen. Company that sent activation file sent this

Your issue is that you need to enable the 2 settings as instructed at the end of your Vision Coding post. You will need someone with VCDS/0BD11 to enable the 2 settings and then you should be sorted. Here's a link to a Youtube video which explains the procedure:

Yes thanks for that, just finding someone local who's not going to charge a fortune, I've seen on here a list of members who have the hardware. Member called AndyMod in Sheffield is close to me, but can't message him yet ( not got 20 site credits yet )

Here's the trick to get his attention. Put the @ symbol in front of his name like this: @Andymod and then he will be notified of this post and if you're lucky he may message you. It's only a 2 minute job to activate those settings. If you was in the South Wales area ( God's country ) I would do it for free for you. An OBD11 is worth investing in if you want to do other mods.

Good idea putting @Andymod hopefully he gets this help request 🙏

Yes I downloaded obd11 app thinking it might work with a old ELM237 dongle I've already got, sadly no joy you have to buy their own dongle

Looks fairly straightforward 👍
