looking at a Rapid spaceback 2017 over the weekend and wondered if they had any common issues i should check for or any common problems ?

Car is a 2017 pan roof model with 52,000 miles and 1.0tsi 110bhp

My father has rapid(non spaceback model) with 1.0 TSI 70kw(litle less hp than what you are looking at) and he didn't had any problems so far.

My 2017 110 is absolutely torque free and needs far too many gear changes.

I hated it at first but have got used to it over 8 years.

Like every other 1.0 turbo I've driven it is economical only within a very small envelope.

70 mph or slower, no hills or headwinds. Otherwise it really starts to guzzle.

Oh and the turbo actuator failed at about 16000 miles, even earlier than my 1.2 did (26000)

The 1.2 is a far superior drive. I still regret swapping it for the 1.0.
