Rear brake pad change

Featured Replies

I assume rear brake pads are easy to change, with no special tools required?

Idealy you need a calliper wind back tool but from what I have read on the forum, you can use a long screwdriver instead. The miston in the calliper needs twisting clockwise as you push it in - you can't just push it straight back. Otherwise it all looks fairly straight forward.

Need a wind back tool for the rears from what i was told by ross and others.

windback tool is cheap, and makes the job two minutes instead of a fight :)

Halfrauds and others for about £10 IIRC
