Part numbers and decent suppliers for tail light and bumper.

Featured Replies

Hello, I've had a misfortune of a small parking manoeuvre gone wrong.

I have cracked the right rear taillight on the car (not boot) and small hole into the bumper.

The quote for repair is ridiculous and my insurance will not cover the damage.

I believe the part number for the tail light is 3V9945208 and for the bumper is 3V9807421. They of course also want new sensors and other crap but it's literally a 2cm hole in the bumper.

I have a 2017 LHD L+K 4x4 estate in diesel and I am based in Switzerland

Can I do a Vin lookup or something to get exact matching parts? Seems to be a number of rear taillamps from different manufactures. What is a good place to source these parts?

Thanks

Anybody?

I can look up part numbers based on VIN, not tried with LHD but may work ? However you may not be able to PM me your VIN as I'm a new user....but feel free to try.

Try LLL Parts, they have parts catalogues for Skoda Superb, you will find at the bottom of the page under manufacturers / Browse Catalogs (sic) you will need to check the part numbers for the lights because your's will be LHD, fog light on a different side to here in the UK.

Ebay the obvious choice, though Polish Aleggro and Ebay Kleinanzeigen may be helpful?

I would not have high hopes for cheap aftermarket, these are expensive parts in any case, both new and secondhand!

Try some breaker, maybe from a crashed car you can get a unit in good condition and save some money.

Thanks all. LLL Parts site is great and part numbers are right. Waiting for another quote as bumper apparently can be repaired and should just be that and cost of a new rear lamp.
