Anyone know if the voice control was tied into the infotainment online subscription?

Voice has never worked right but for a long time it's not worked at all. Wondering if it's because my subscription expired?

If I press button or say Laura It mutes music and just spins away. Doesn't even say anything anymore

It's not tied to having a subscription. It should work. However mine rarely understands my instructions, particularly trying to change the radio channel. She usually plays Robbie Williams song Radio instead.

Starting to think she is ignoring me because I keep on calling her useless in a less polite way 😅

Luckily only got the car for a couple more weeks and then I can divorce her completely

Mine kept butting into my conversations until I worked out how to gag her completely.

I have been having issues with Laura ignoring me along with the sat nav not giving verbal commands when in use

I have got an appointment with the dealer tomorrow where they plan to reinstall the latest software

Not sure this will provide a permanent fix as I had this issue with it previously which following an OTA update resolved itself only for a short period of time

Not sure if this in a clash with using CarPlay on my personal phone and having my works phone connected with Bluetooth but the issue is still there when I have no phone in the car

Did you get a fix for this ?

Only fix I found was to swap the car for a VW ID.7 😅

Never got it resolved. Think the voice control module on mine was crap. Never worked right across all the software versions I upgraded too

Notice you also had some issues with playing music from a media stick which I have also encountered

Music would play okay then after a week or so it would disappear from the USB stick …..it even managed to download some albums onto my iPhone when it was plugged in for charging

Part of my thinks this may have been some of the issue with the software being corrupted in some way?

After every update I did I found it needed a factory reset after the update before it started working well again.

Could get Laura working doing the factory reset. But she would always stop again after a few days

Well just got back from the dealership and Laura is talking to me again with sat nav directions

Skoda report states no fault found but infotainment system was given a hard reset and adapted address 19 of FES and software 1985 reinstalled

Let’s see how long this lasts
