No sound in Octavia Satnav

Featured Replies

Hi, I have lost sound in the satnav in my 2024 Octavia. I have tried a reset (holding down the on/off button) and this restores sound for a minute or so , then it goes again. Display continues to work as normal. Settings all seem ok so has anyone else encountered and hopefully solved this issue? Incidentally, not sure if it is connected, but voice control isn't working - just a spinning circle round a car image.

Same issue on mine

It did resolve itself after an OTA update but has gone back to the same issues

I thought part of the issue was down to having 2 phones connected with one using Apple Carplay and it interfering with some of the features but still happens with no phones in the car

Have you found a fix?

Sadly still not fixed. I am hoping that it might resolve itself when some updates come in but failing that I will, reluctantly, contact the dealer. No immediate rush but I do want it resolved for when we drive through France later in the summer. I am surprised that no one else has responded to this query - must be a rare fault.

UPDATE

So took the car in for the first service and asked them to look over the issues advising I was aware some other users on this forum are experiencing the same issues

On collecting the car I was advised they have not rectified the issue and info9rmed me this may have to wait and see if this is resolved with another update but they have issued a report to Skoda

They did note on the service report that the issue may be due to the hard wired Dashcam that is wired into the fusebox, enquiring if the problem occurred prior to its fitting

I did advise that the issue occurred both before the dashcam fitting and re-occurred again after the OTA update

So will have to wait to see what Skoda advise when replying to the update

Update

So I was contacted by the dealership and asked to bring car in again under warranty

So just got back from the dealership and Laura is talking to me again with sat nav directions

Skoda report states no fault found but infotainment system was given a hard reset and adapted address 19 of FES and software 1985 reinstalled

Let’s see how long this lasts

Great news that it is working. Oddly mine started to work when we were out driving yesterday but after a few directions it went silent again. If it doesn't resolve itself by mid July, after our non driving holiday, I will put it into the garage and hopefully get it fixed.

Mine would do that occasionally and was frustrating when you needed to know your way

I am not sure what they did exactly …..adapted address 19. …..pulled the fuse? But so far so good

Let me know how you get on

Delighted to report that my car has now been in the garage and the problem is resolved. Apparently an over the air update had not loaded fully and this was what was causing the problem.
