Bump to say I have had some interest but offers are invited. I've been upfront about the turbo problem, it's very repairable but could be a good source of spares if nothing else. I'm not going to let it hang around indefinitely so don't miss out assuming it'll still be for sale.

Does it have cruise control, I’m half considering a yeti for the wife but it needs cruise.

Yes it has cruise control.

Fair warning, this car will be scrapped this time next week if still nobody is interested. I won't be breaking it for bits so all the good bits including the 6 speed gearbox, newly serviced Haldex and less than 1000 mile rear tyres will all get fed through the fragger. That's the reality, ding ding, last orders.

Another bargain, even needing a turbo. These are seriously cool

Maybe so @Jimb0b, but after advertising it for some time now, including on another Skoda forum, I can only conclude nobody wants to take on a project any more, even at bargain money. Easier just to lease a new Chinese EV I suppose.

Countdown continues, getting cubed on Wednesday. Before the hiab picks it up I will run the engine without oil, put every window through and do every panel as it seems to be unsellable. All for the sake of a turbo.

Ooh... If only I had space for a 4th car... It would be a cracking winter runabout with a recon turbo....

I think SWMBO would murder me though!!

Seems to be everyone has to ask their wife for permission. I buy what I want and she buys what she wants in this household because we're both adults with jobs.

@Moorland

if you want to sell the car, youve a better chance if your not slaggin people off. 1 person said hey would be interestedbut dont have space for a FOURTH car.. and someone else mentioned it for their wife as a possibility.

thats not everybody needing permission to do anything..

I know your new, so, take a breath and dont be the type of seller or member noone wants to deal with.

I wonder if @J.R. would be interested in a cheap RHD Yeti as a parts donor/ project?

@mac11irl whatever, and you've not seen the PMs. But the point of a for sale advert is not for people to post reasons they won't buy it, that's more what Facebook is for.

No, i havent seen any of the pms, but that doesnt mean a whole lot when what people see is someone getting cranky on the public side.

i know selling stuff, no matter what it is, is a pain in the arse, and every other orifice. and at times makes you feel like just setting fire to the thing instead of dealing with people, but.. you still have a better chance moving on what is a well specced, and should be wanted by a good enthusiastic owner who doesnt mind taking on a project, vehicle, if the general vibe is "sound" rather than cranky.

Ok, fair point. I've removed the advert now as I didn't come here to fall out with people.

dont need to remove it! jaysus thats extreme. changing the post about peoples wives wouldve been enough 😂😂

Just seen this. Could well have been interested for my daughter as her brother, my number 3 son is a mechanic. Obviously advert has gone, whereabouts is the car?
