Sorry i have asked this one before but never got round getting them done.

Im after finding a place in preston or very close who tints windows. Security flim would be best - i dont want the glass shooting everwhere if im involved in a crash.

Have you tried Base Systems and Unit 4 (both in Preston)

They are stereo installers but will probably know of local tinters if they dont offer the service themselves.

Bloke who works at Tickled Trout BP garage has a black Golf GT TDI with big Audi wheels on it, very very tinted windows, he reckons he's had no trouble with the old bill round here.

The tints have made a big difference this last week or so cutting down on the glare, still gets really hot in the car though and I'm still using the rear sun blind as well. It stays pretty cool if parked in the shade with the sun blind up in the direction the sun is facing. Just regret not getting them done day one when I got the car.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm getting the RS tinted this coming weekend! i post up some pictures whens its all done! and of course after i have polished it

Getting it done by tintmaster in preston...... many other places were too far to be without the car for a day.
