Can anyone tell me if week 1 is the first week of January?

Yes, I know it is, really, but when you talk about a car being

built on a particular week, how can I find out when that is?

Yes, week one is the 1st week of January - the car build week is on the same basis :)

:orb_not_w Cheers!

It worked for me. My Passat was scheduled for week 16. I worked on the basis that week one included 1st Jan.and when I got to what I reckoned was Friday afternoon of week 16 I rang the dealer. "I'll have a look on the system" he said and told me there and then status was "final assembly check 7". It went pretty smoothly thereafter, the only delays arising from the local DVLA office faffing about over the transfer of my plate to the extent of telling lies about what they had done :thumbdwn: .
