Connectivity Issues

Featured Replies

Our Enyaq has developed a couple of connectivity issues recently. Firstly, since about a week ago, the satnav of the infotainment system seems to think the car is in the water of the North Sea. It just happened whilst we're driving. Secondly, aound the same time, perhaps a few days apart, we have noticed that the MySkoda app cannot connect to the car anymore, even though there's nothing indicating as fault is coming up in the car. We went through the SKODA tech support, who suggested the usual press and release the on button of the infotainment system and clear cache and reinstall software. However, none of these steps worked. They now suggested there are a few things that are malfunctioning but couldn't tell us what they are and suggested we make an appointment with a SKODA garage. That we have done.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before and can suggest some underlying problems?

The car is 4 years old and we had an active subscription to Skoda connect, would any of the diagnostic and repair cost be covered?

Is there anything we can try to address ourselves?

No, you'd need to have purchased an extended warranty. And even with a warranty, you're often on the hook for the diagnostic fee, and only if it turns out to be a warranty issue can the garage bill that to Skoda.
