Obdeleven coding and adaptations

Featured Replies

Hello guys

Im new in this forum and i just bought obdelven with the ultimate pack and i will be pleased if there is pdf for list of the coding and adaptations i can make to the car its 2021 skoda fabia 4pj

Thanks

ALWAYS do a back up first, and before starting - have the car and device batteries both in a good state of charge, make sure the program is fully up to date and check connectivity will be good and stable throughout procedures.

Some don't like (or trust?) the 'one-click' applications but if someone with the same model and age has tested them and found them to be fully successful after a reasonable period of testing and use and without side effects (over a good number of journeys) then fine.

You could perhaps do a thread or guide on what works and if anything doesn't.

Its the same for obdeleven?

I have had the device since 2019 and did over 30 mods to my Tiguan. HOWEVER It is much less able to do stuff to a 21 Kamiq and in mid 2020 VAG locked down quite a few modules and you cant do buggar all in comparison. Mine has been just sitting in a drawer for a year now as cant be bothered trying any more. Cant do the following S/S deactivation, Speed signs in dash, Adaptive headlights, quite a few other things so have just stopped trying. I wouldnt buy one now if I didnt already have it.

OBDeleven has SFD unlock listed as a feature on their website so perhaps you just need an update (possibly payable depends on what you originally bought I expect) you want updates for your 21 Kamiq, if you don't already have them, anyway, always go model or VIN specific. See 'Service' features on this page. - https://obdeleven.com/skoda

I have a version 1 PRO with a lifetime licence and have the latest version of the app on two phones. It has nothing to do with SFD as I never get the message about it. It is simply that VAG have locked us out of a lot of stuff since 2020. Eg Cant get speed signs in the AID. Other things that I did in the Tiguan are not doable in the Kamiq. One reason is that they have changed the camera model and seems no one is able to code it at all. I am not alone in this, unfortunately and despite trying numerous times and different solutions have given up worrying about it . I dont drive far any more so why worry Think I might sell the OBD11 as havent used it for about a year

As I read it on their site you won't get a message about SFD as it's automatic entry and I thought they worked with VW but if you and others can't get things to work and you and others have told OBDeleven about this and they can't sort it then it might be that they and VW don't know how to, or VW don't want or can't be bothered.

I've no idea if other scan brands or more expensive systems/machines would do better than OBDeleven, I would have thought VCDS might be the go-to for VW but it's not my cup of Darjeeling.

IIRC I've seen other initials or descriptions for these lockout things and assumed that SFD was what it is, my memory isn't the best.

But like you say it's not the end of the world.

Im not sure what you are on about. OBDELEVEN works fine on SFD cars and as you say its automatic. Hence we dont get the message that they get with VCDS which is what I meant. I will type this slowly for you VAG HAVE LOCKED SOME MODULES SO NO ONE CAN MODIFY THEM NOTHING TO DO WITH SFD. ALSO THE CHANGE OF CAMERA MODEL MADE THINGS WORSE FOR TRYING TO MODIFY NAVIGATION STUFF As far as I know no one on the forums I haunt has a solution for that so far. Nothing to do with SFD VAG is Volkswagen Motor Group which make VW, Skoda, Seat, Cupra and Lamborghini. so they have tightened up on all. Im sure OBDELEVEN have kept up with things and they cant unlock what has been deliberately locked from being modified. Also models have different spec levels and what you can do in one cant be done in another. 2 examples from earlier are a Tiguan Rline 5 seater taildoor could be closed from the drivers seat. It cant in an Allspace and cant be modded to do so. Allspaces had adaptive headlights from the factory 5 seaters didnt. Lesser model also had differences.
